Schedule items on your TV

Do you want to show a specific menu on your TV only during certain hours? Want to automatically switch from "Brunch" to "Dinner" menus at a set time each day? Or perhaps you want to show a custom advertisement for an event only on a certain day?

Taplist.io has a powerful feature that makes this all possible: Scheduled TV playlist items. Read on to learn about how it works and how you can use it.

Background: Playlists

Every TV on Taplist.io has a built-in playlist. Using its playlist, a TV can be configured to rotate through multiple difference screens: Your menu, an advertisement for Karaoke night, and so on.

For many customers, most of their TVs have only a single item in their playlist—their menu. But you can add and change playlist items at any time.. You can read more about playlists here.

Managing Schedules

Every item on your playlist defaults to being shown at all times, in rotation with every other active item.

To configure a playlist item to only show at certain times, take the following steps:

1. Visit the Displays section of the dashboard and press Configure display on the TV you wish to edit.
2. Under Playlist, find the item you want to create a schedule for and press the Clock icon.
3. In the pop up window, press Only show at certain times, then add one or more time blocks corresponding to when this item should be shown.
4. Press Save.

Usage Notes

• All schedules take place in time zone of your Location's settings. Visit Location Settings to view or change your time zone.
• Your TV will need to be online in order for scheduled changes to take place.
• On AppleTV and Roku devices, a schedule change may take up to 1 minute to take place.
