Show a picture, advertisement, or event on your TV menu

Taplist.io TVs can show more than just your menu content. With the Image Carousel feature, you can add one or more full-screen images to your TV menus.

All plans with the Image Carousel feature support this option. Visit your plan page to upgrade if needed.

Usage

It's easy to use image carousels. Here's how.

1. First, create the image you'd like to show, using whatever tool you are most comfortable with. Export it as a png or jpg . The image size should be 1920 pixels wide by 1080 for horizontal TVs, and 1080 pixels wide by 1920 for vertical (portrait) TVs.
2. Next, visit the Displays section and select the TV you want to add the image to. Press Configure display to bring up the configuration screen.
3. Under the Playlist section, press the "Add to playlist" button. Upload your image.
4. After you have added your image, scroll down to the bottom and press Save.

Only showing images (no menu)

To create a TV that only shows one or more images, and does not show your menu, first follow the steps above to add the images.

Once you have added the image or images you want to show, locate the menu item in your playlist and press the trash can icon to delete it. This will result in a playlist that just has the image or images.

Customizing playback times

When you have more than one item in your playlist, you will see the option to set a duration for each item. You can customize how long each item in the playlist is shown by setting a value for the duration.

For example, if you want to show your image for 10 seconds every 2 minutes, you would do the following:

1. Set the "Menu" playlist item duration to 120 seconds.
2. Set the "Image" playlist item duration to 10 seconds.
3. Press save.
