Show multiple menus on the same TV

Taplist.io supports creating and managing multiple menus. For example, you can manage one menu called "Beverages" and another called "Lunch", each having their own sections within them.

Here's how you can configure a Taplist.io TV to show more than one menu.

TV configuration to show multiple menus

Follow these steps to show multiple menus on the same TV.

  1. Visit the Displays portion of the dashboard.
  2. Click "Configure display" on the TV you'd like to update.
  3. Scroll to the Playlist section, and tap "Add to playlist".
  4. When prompted on what to add, pick "A menu or menu sections".
  5. Press "Add".

Customizing appearance

Each menu on your TV has its own, customizable appearance settings. That means (among other things) your "Beverages" menu could use a different background picture or font colors than your "Lunch" menu.

To customize these settings, first click on the menu in the Playlist section. Then customize your settings and press Save.

Using the same appearance settings

To make your menus appear the same, you can use the "Copy settings" feature. Here's how.

  1. Visit the Displays portion of the dashboard.
  2. Click "Configure display" on the TV you'd like to update.
  3. Select the TV whose settings you want to update in the Playlist section.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Copy settings from..."
  5. Find and select the menu whose appearance settings you wish to copy.
  6. Press "Copy".

Usage considerations

When showing more than one menu, each menu will start its own slide. It isn't possible for two menus to be shown on a single slide.

As usual, if any menu is too big to fit on a single slide, Taplist.io will automatically spread it into additional slides & periodically rotate through them.

We always recommending using additional TVs, rather than carousel features, when your TV content will take up more than one slide, as customers often prefer that menus do not suddenly change.
