BrewBill and Taplist.io Integration Guide

This article describes how to set up and use Taplist.io's integration with BrewBill.

Overview

Taplist.io is proud to offer a direct, fast integration to BrewBill POS.

When you activate this integration, Taplist.io will automatically synchronize your BrewBill catalog and Menu data into your Taplist account. In turn, you'll be able to:

• Build and customize TVs that automatically show realtime inventory.
• Build and customize printable versions of your menus.

Menus synchronized from BrewBill are read-only on Taplist.io: When you & your staff need to make menu changes, you only need to make those changes within BrewBill. Taplist.io will automatically refresh with those changes—typically in less than a minute.

⚠️ Beta Advisory: This integration is in Beta as of May 2026. "Beta" means we may still be making small changes, tweaks, or bugfixes. If you encounter an issue or have feedback, please see the "Help and Feedback" section at the bottom of this article.

Requirements

To use this integration, you will need:

• A Taplist.io Pro account. POS sync features are only available on Pro accounts and above.
• An active BrewBill account.

Setup Instructions

Here's how to activate the integration on your account.

Enable the integration at Taplist.io:

1. Visit Account → Integrations → POS Sync.
2. Press "Add POS Integration" and select BrewBill.
3. When prompted, you'll be redirected to BrewBill, then back to Taplist. That's it!

That's it! Your product catalog should sync and you will see new menus under the BrewBill section of your Menus page.

Managing Your Integration

Forcing a sync

Taplist will automatically register with BrewBill and receive events any time your catalog or inventory changes. However, sometimes it can be helpful to perform a manual sync "just to be sure".

You can perform a manual sync by:

1. Visit  Account → Integrations → POS Sync.
2. Press "Force Sync Now"

Removing the integration

You can remove the integration at any time. Removing the integration will allow you to re-connect the integration later.

IMPORTANT: Removing the integration will delete Taplist's copy of your BrewBill menus. Since it is a read-only mirror of your BrewBill data, you can always re-create it later.

You can remove your integration with the following steps:

1. Visit  Account → Integrations → POS Sync.
2. Press "Remove".
3. Confirm when prompted.

Adding Beer & Beverage Metadata: The "Metadata Line" Feature

Taplist.io supports displaying rich beverage-specific metadata, like ABV, SRM, and so on.

At the time of writing, BrewBill's product catalog does not have structured support for adding and managing those fields. Since you may want that information to show up on your Taplist.io display, while still only managing your products within BrewBill, we've designed a solution. We call it the Metadata Line.

How it works

In any product's description field on BrewBill, add a standalone line that begins with the beverage type and includes one or more metadata fields. When we detect such a line during sync, will parse the fields into Taplist.io. Here is an example:

This is our newest hazy IPA, brewed with hints of pineapple and guava. A real refresher!

Beer: Style: Hazy IPA; ABV: 5.0%; IBU: 35; Producer: Lazy Piña Brewing Company; Tap 4

In the example above, the line that starts "Beer..." will automatically be stripped and parsed on Taplist.io when imported. Here is another example:

Cider: ABV: 6%; SRM 12

To add a metadata line, just follow these rules:

1. All data must be on a single line of the description.
2. Ensure the line starts with the word "Beer", "Cider", "Wine", "Coffee", "Cocktail", "Soda", or "Beverage" followed by a :   .
3. The beverage type must be followed by one or more metadata field name-value pairs, each pair separated with semicolons. Supported fields:
   1. ABV
   2. IBU
   3. Style
   4. OG
   5. SG
   6. FG
   7. SRM
   8. Producer
   9. Tap (number)

The order of your metadata fields doesn't matter, and you can include as many or as few as you like.
