About Our New Print Menu Builder
In April 2026, we launched a ✨ completely revamped ✨ print menu builder. The new builder is a huge improvement over our legacy builder, and is available to all customers with print menu support.
Here's what you need to know about it.
What's new in the new builder?
The new builder has a ton of new features and usability improvements, many of which have come from direct customer feedback. These include:
- Faster, more reliable designer: What you see in preview is what you get. We resolved lots of corner cases and glitches in the legacy editor.
- Print from browser: No more waiting for PDFs to download, you can print directly from your browser.
- Undo, redo, and edit history: Make a mistake or a change you didn't like? Easily go back to a previously-saved version
- Controlled menu data updates: You can choose when to sync your menu data in.
- Page break control: Add a page break after any section!
- Header/footer images: Make your header or footer an image; perfect for your logos.
- Menu item images: Optionally show product artwork or illustrations next to each menu item.
- Better page splitting: Automatically re-inserts your section header when a section splits into multiple pages.
- Half sheet support: Design menus in 2-up mode for half-sheet printing.
- (Advanced) Per-section overrides: Individual menu sections can override any setting, like hiding prices, changing fonts, and so on.
We think you're really going to love it!
How do I use the new builder?
It's easy! When you create a new print menu, press "Use the new print menu builder". If you do not see this option, you're already using the new builder.
What does the "legacy print menu" notice mean?
If you created print menus before April 2026, you used our legacy print menu builder and will see this notice next to your menu.
You can still edit your legacy print menus in the legacy builder, but we will retire it soon.
How do I edit a legacy menu in the new builder?
It's easy!
- From your print menus page, open the legacy print menu.
- You will see the legacy print menu editor, and a notice to try the new builder.
- Tap "Edit in New Builder" at the top.
This process automatically creates a copy of your print menu, so you can still go back to the legacy menu editor if you need to.
