What are Early Access features?
We develop and release new features continuously. Early Access features are major new features that we are almost ready to officially launch—but which still need some finishing touches or some feedback from early testers.
These features are safe for "real world" usage, but you might experience small bugs or glitches. We're really interested in your feedback; please share it with us at any time.
How do I know if a feature is an Early Access feature?
You'll see a very prominent alert in our dashboard that says "Early Access Feature".
We may occasionally announce these features over email, too, if you're subscribed to new feature updates.
How much will this feature cost upon launch?
During Early Access, we have not yet decided how to price the feature. Once we launch, we may:
- Make it included in all plans for free; or
- Only offer it in select plans for free; or
- Offer it as a paid add-on on certain plans.
We always strive to provide fair, transparent, value-based pricing. Over 90% of our new features are launched as free to all customers.
One reason we might offer a feature as an add-on fee is if we determine only some of our customers will get value out of it. This philosophy helps us keep our base pricing lower for those customers who do not use add-on features.
If I don't want to pay for the feature, what happens after it launches?
If an Early Access feature becomes a paid add on after launch, we'll give you plenty of advanced notice that this is happening.
In most cases, the feature will "gracefully degrade" if you choose not to add the add on. For example, the Calendar Events feature will still show your scheduled events, but you'll be unable to create new events without adding the add-on to your subscription.
