What does the "Empty Playlist" message mean?

If you see the message "Empty playlist" on your TV, it means the TV has no items configured to be shown.

This situation can arise in a few situations:

  • If you just created the TV, and have not yet added any items to the playlist, you'll see this message.
  • If the TV had a menu on it, and you deleted the menu, the accompanying playlist item will be deleted too.

To fix this situation:

  1. Navigate to the Displays portion of the Taplist.io dashboard.
  2. Find the TV and press the "Configure" button.
  3. Follow the pop-up instructions to add an item. If you close the pop-up, just scroll to the Playlist section and press "Add to playlist".
